The New Athens Homecoming Committee is looking for Girls to participate in the contest for Miss New Athens for the New Athens Homecoming held the third weekend of July.  Interested girls have a chance to win cash prizes along with the Title of Queen. If you are interested and are 15 years of age, please see Regina in the High SChool office for more information and to sign up

 Please sign up for trivia tables in the high school lobby for Enrichment next week.

There are extra pep club shirts available on a first come, first served basis for $17.
They will be available for purchase in Mrs. Dehler's room next week before homecoming until we run out. Hurry down ASAP.

Homecoming tickets will be on sale at lunch during the week of Homecoming.  They are $5 a person and $8 a couple.  

The Dance will be on the 15th from 7-10.  Coronation will be at 9:30. 

Hall decorating will be 6th and 7th hours on Monday of Homecoming week.

Look around the halls this week for this year's dress up days!

Remember that this is a class competition.  Every day is worth points for a total at the end of the week.  Every day you dress up, you earn a percentage point for your class.  Each dress up day is worth 40 points, the hall is worth 200 points, the poster is 200 points, and the skit is 200 points.  Tug-of War and the Eating contest is each worth 50 points.

As of today, you will no longer be allowed to take your chromebooks to P.E. Mr. Hager and Mrs. Patton will allow you to return them to your lockers if you bring them today. After today, you will be written up if you bring your chromebook to P.E. after today.

Mr. Gillaspie's first hour Band and 6th hour Chorus will report to the gym today.

Congratulations to the girls basketball team on their win over Trico last night.

Tryouts for the spring play "Pride and Prejudice" will be held in Mr. G.'s room starting during Activity period on Wednesday. There are many parts to be filled including a lot of small roles, so if you've never been in a play before, this is a great time to get involved. Come prepared to read through several scenes from the play. Hope to see a lot of you there!

Good luck to the boys basketball team as they host Gibault tonight. The JV game begins at 6:15.

Those students traveling to Greece and Rome this summer please turn in your poinsettia orders to Mrs. Fizer this morning during Homeroom.

Congratulations to the Lady Jackets on their third straight win this week, beating Gibault last night. Both the JV and Varsity teams won.
