Mr. Works is looking for student volunteers to help at Monday's cross country meet.  jobs include handing out medals and ribbons, passing out finish  numbers, traffic control, and other jobs.  The girls run at 6:00 and the boys at 6:45.  If you can help, see Mr. Works during activity period today.

Any student who still has a track uniform from last year needs to turn it in to Peggy.

Yearbooks will be handed out during NAIL on Friday.  Mrs. Albert has 4 extra books.  If you would like to purchase one they are $35.

The following are the senior class officers for the 2017-2018 school year:

Students, just a reminder that cell phones are to remain in your locker except during lunch. Walking around with phones during passing periods is not allowed, nor is having them during NAIL. If you want your phone during lunch you will have to make a trip to your locker to get it. This was all discussed during our class meetings on Tuesday.

Attention any athlete interested in joining the 2017-18 Cheerleading squad:
there will be open workouts every Tue & Thu after school beginning Tues, August 22 from 3:30-4:30 PM.  
​Please see Mrs. Dehler as soon as possible if you are interested in an opportunity to try out for the squad on Oct.3

Pride team applications are in the high school office.   Any student interested can complete an application and return it to Mrs. Dinkelman.  For more information, see Mrs. Dinkelman.  All applications are Due on Wednesday, August 23.

There will be a Senior Class Meeting on Thursday during Activity Period in the Cafeteria.

Mr. Works is looking for several students to serve as managers for the cross country team.  If you are interested, give your name to Peggy and Mr. Works will contact you about your duties as manager.

Sports lockers are available on the first floor starting today.

All golfers should be dismissed at 3:00 for their golf match at Marissa.

Good Morning and Welcome Back!

Returning students who ordered a yearbook will receive it Friday during NAIL.

Students, the only way your schedule will be changed is in the event of an emergency.

I will be meeting with classes during third and fourth hours today. I will call you to the high school gym when it is time for you to meet.

There will be a dismissal bell at 3:10 for all non-bus riding students to leave school.

Any student who might be interested in joining cross country needs to attend practice no later than Wednesday of this week.  Mr. Works will still accept runners through Wednesday, but not after that date.

Seniors should pay all library fees before they graduate.  Also all library books need to be returned by May 12th.

Students: check with your teachers or the office if you are confused about the final exam schedule. Tomorrow we will take hours 1,3,5 and 7 finals, and Wednesday we will take hours 2,4, and 6. Thursday is an attendance day and school will be dismissed at 12:11.

All info processing 2 students must take the SWIC POWERPOINT Assessment before 5th hour today!  You can access the link on google classroom or come down to Mrs. Dehler's room during NAIL today.

Seniors: you will need to clean out your locker during NAIL today. Everyone else will clean them out during activity period today. Those seniors taking the SWIC assessment will need to make sure your locker is cleaned out before you leave today. Those male track athletes leaving early for Nashville today also need to make sure their lockers are cleaned out before they leave today.

The girl's track team had an excellent showing at Friday's Sectional meet, highlighted by Danika White's record setting performance in the 400 meters that earned her 1st place, and an automatic berth at the State meet next Thursday at Eastern Illinois University at Charleston.  Danika was also part of the 4X800 relay team that finished 4th, along with Alayna Toedte, Cassie Crabtree, and Stevi Price. She was also part of the 4X400 relay team that included Alayna Toedte, Cassie Crabtree, and Taylor Marhanka that finished 5th.  Alayna Toedte also finished 6th in the 3200 meter run to earn her 3rd medal of the meet.

Except for Danika White, all girls need to turn their clean track uniforms in to Peggy in a bag marked with their name.

Selected boys will be attending the Nashville Invitational on Monday, but they do not need to be dismissed early from class.

  
  Any student who is interested in cross country but who could not attend the informational meeting, can pick up a packet from Peggy and also sign the sheet on the counter to be contacted for more information this summer.

High school cheer tryouts will be held Thu and Fri,  May 11-12 from 5:30-7. Sign up in the office. 

The last FCA meeting of the year will be tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the high school gym.

Seniors should pay all library fees before they graduate.  Also all library books need to be returned by May 12th.

Seniors have graduation practice during first hour this morning in the junior high gym. They may be a few minutes late to second hour.

Mr. Works will have a meeting during homeroom on Wednesday in room 202 for any student interested in learning more about cross country.  This meeting is for returning runners and any new runners. Come learn why running isn't really as hard as you thought, and actually might be fun.

High School Athletic Banquet will be held tonight at 6:30 in the Junior High gym.

Any FCA members eligible to attend the spring field trip should pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Dehler asap. The trip will be next Tues,  May 9

Seniors, please get your senior picture to either Alyssa Range or Mrs. Albert by Friday, May 5 for the yearbook.  If you do not turn in a picture by that date, they will be using your Lifetouch photo.

If you are interested in umpiring for Little League games this summer, please see Mr. Hager.

Students, chromebooks are no longer allowed in the gym during PE. They need to put in your locker before you go to the gym for PE. Also, they are not allowed in the cafeteria as you have heard me say before. Unless you would like to turn around and head back to your locker today, do not bring your chromebook to the cafeteria.

Any student interested in working at the World Shooting Complex this summer should see Mr. Hager for an application.
