Good luck to the baseball and softball teams as they host Chester today for a 4:30 game.

Last night's medal winners at the Chester Invitational track meet include:  Danika White 1st in the 800, Calvin Cooper 3rd in the 800, and Chandler Hoffman 3rd in the 3200.  The relay team of Danika White, Madi Stewart, Amelia Mattingly, and Kaylee Caswell also placed 2nd in the 4X800 and 3rd in the 4X400.  The boy's 4X400 relay team od Deric Maurer, Austin Kimes, Jacob Burgin, and Calvin Cooper placed 2nd as did the throwers relay team of Tyson Wilderman, Hunter Simmons, Blake Robison, and Jacob Burgin.

Girls interested in running for Ms. New Athens need to get their permission slip turned in to Regina by the end of the day on Wednesday.

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt on Wednesday, April 17 during NAIL. All eggs will contain prizes but one golden egg will have a prize package including $20 Casey's gift card, snacks, candy, and 2 passes for "first in lunch line". The cost is $2.  If you would like to participate, please pay Mrs. Albert before the 17th.

Reminder that today is a 2:06 dismissal, and there is no school until next Tuesday, April 23 for Easter Break.

Congratulations to the baseball and softball teams on their wins over Okawville yesterday.

Good luck to the baseball and softball teams as they travel to Valmeyer today for a 4:30 game.

Good luck to the track team as they compete at Chester today.

All the students attending the SWIC computer competition today must report to Mrs. Dehler's room during homeroom. Please bring your signed field trip permission slip with you!

Good luck to the baseball and softball teams as they play at Red Bud tonight at 4:30.

First place in the 800 and 1600 by Danika White, 2nd place in the 800 by Calvin Cooper, and 3rd place finishes by Brayten Webb in the 100, Madi Stewart in the 800, Chandler Hoffman in the 1600, and Calvin Cooper in the 200.

Those FFA members attending livestock judging tomorrow need to make sure they are at school by 6:30 A.M. and have their permission slip signed.

To all students attending after prom, this is a reminder to Please be on time, the buses will need to leave by 11 pm so plan accordingly. Also please note if you plan to ride the Go Karts at the event you must have closed toe shoes on - NO FLIP FLOPS or SLIDES.

The New Athens Homecoming Committee and the New Athens Fire Ladies Auxiliary is looking for girls who would be interested in running for Miss New Athens.  Candidates need to be 15 years old by July 20th and up to the age of 21. Coronation will be at the Homecoming July 20th.

Miss New Athens is chosen by the number of tickets that are sold for the homecoming raffle. First place gets  $500.00, Second place gets $350.00 and Third Place gets $150.00.  Everyone also gets a percentage of their sales.  Please sign up in the high school office and if anyone has questions, please see Regina.
