The summer air conditioning project is in full swing. The contractors are currently on schedule and are working hard to meet the opening school deadline. The ceilings are being lowered in most classrooms and the third story window project is also progressing.  A new security system is being installed that will have cameras on each floor and in the foyer areas. Security plans also include automatic locks on doors that will be set to open and lock at specific times.  The hope is that all the work will be completed by the start of school.

A new computer program is being installed that will handle all the informational tasks of the school (students, grades, attendance, discipline, etc.).  The administrators, secretaries, and counselor, received several days of training while selected teachers received one day of training.  The rest of the staff will be trained at the start of the school year. It will be a learning curve for all of us, but it should benefit the district.
