The district currently has two employment vacancies:
1:  Part time (5 hours) cafeteria worker.
2.  High School special education teacher aide (minimum requirement is a two year associate degree--preference is a four year degree)

Cross country runners should have received a letter from Mr. Works.  Recipients should contact Mr. Works to confirm participation or notify him that they are not interested.  Students planning on running should also contact Mr. Works to verify uniform sizes since new uniforms will be ordered and purchased this summer. Athletes interested in participating in upcoming races that were included in the mailing should contact Mr. Works if they need a ride.  Runners are encouraged to continue their summer training.  Please continue to visit this announcement website for updated information to include possible races and scheduled practices.
 
The summer air conditioning project is in full swing. The contractors are currently on schedule and are working hard to meet the opening school deadline.
 
Our new superintendent, Mr. Brian Karraker, is now on board and working from his office. Please meet and greet him if you happen to be in the building. Our new band teacher, Mrs. Patterson has also been in the building getting ready for the next school year and the Homecoming Parade.
 
Peggy is on vacation this week (June 29-July 3).  Mr. Works will be in the office and should be able to handle most of your needs. 
 
The school will be closed Friday July 3 from 8AM to noon as the electricity will be turned off, and also July 6 as staff take their July 4th holiday.
 
Parents and students are reminded that class schedules are set and will not be changed unless a mistake has been made or a student has take a summer school course that would require a change.  Page 34 of the handbook reinforces this, "Only in cases of emergency will schedule changes be considered after the deadline noted on the scheduling letter which is sent to parents."  The usual deadlilne is one week after the school year has ended.
