Congratulations to Bailey Lance, Haley Boisseau, Kirsten Hollansworth, and Kara Hollansworth for exceptional performances at last nights public speaking contest.  Bailey received 1st place and Haley received 7th place in creed speaking. Kara received 2nd place in JV prepared speaking and Kirsten received 2nd place in Varsity prepared speaking.  Bailey, Kara and Kirsten all advance to the district contest in Carbondale.

Next week is National FFA week, and there will be a series of dress up days.  Monday will be tractor colors.  So wear your Massey Ferguson red or John Deere green.

Congratulations to Abby Marlow, who qualified to go to the State tournament 3 point shooting contest next Thursday in Bloomington. Abby made 8 out of 15 three pointers last night at the Sectionals to advance to state. Good luck Abby!

Good luck to the high school boys basketball team tonight as they take on Steeleville in their last regular season game at Senior Night. The JV game will start at 6:15.

Current Honor Society members will meet on Monday during Homeroom in Mrs. Hogg's room.  

There will be a senior meeting this Friday in the High School Gym during Activity Period.

Students: a reminder that your cell phone is to remain in your locker during the school day except at lunch. This includes walking from class to class.

Reminder to sign up for your co-ed volleyball team and get the teams into Mrs. Patton.


§  Seniors-The Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebekah  Scholarship Award is being offered to students with a financial need that is continuing their education at a post-secondary school or an accredited vocational/technical school.  Information available in the office.         Deadline: 2-28-16.

§  Seniors-The Belleville Elks Lodge is offering a scholarship to students entering the Physical or Occupational Therapy Majors and Physical and Occupational Therapy Assistants.  This is a renewable scholarship.  If you are entering this field of study you can get additional information in the office.  Deadline: Last date to turn in is 3-2-16.  See information in office for other dates to return application.

§  Junior Girls-The YMCA is offering a Future Leader Program.  With this program you become eligible for a $1500. Scholarship.  Information can be found on line or in the high school office.  Deadline for applications: 3-4-16
