Friday, February 24

posted Feb 24, 2017, 6:18 AM by Dan Lehman
Track practice will begin Monday, February 27th.  Participants are reminded that they will need a sports physical and that they will have to pay a $25 athletic fee to participate.

Mr. Noffke and Mr. Widdersheim are looking for volunteers to stay after school and put up the batting cage nets. All baseball and softball players are invited.

Mr. G is looking for former scholar bowl members to help out at the Junior High scholar bowl tournament on Saturday, March 4th. Please see him if you are interested.

Reminder: all high school baseball players need to make sure their $25 athletic fee is paid by tomorrow. You can pay in the high school office. You also need to make sure your physicals are turned in. Anyone without a physical will not be allowed to practice.

The high school blood drive will be Wednesday March 1 from 10am-4pm in the high school gym.  Students who are 16 are eligible to donate with parental consent.  These forms are available from Mr. Kinzinger and must be returned by the end of the day on Tuesday.  Students who sign up are invited to Mr. Kinzinger's room Wednesday morning for breakfast.  Prior to Wednesday, students are encouraged to eat foods high in iron- beans, spinach, beef, shrimp, rice, and potatoes and steer clear of caffeinated beverages like tea and soda and chocolate.  Please encourage family and friends to come and donate- the more units collected, the more scholarship money our school receives.  If you have any questions, or would like to set up an appointment, see Mr. Kinzinger.

All Teams, Forms, and money for the co-ed volleyball tournament are due this Monday, February 27th.

This week is National FFA week.
Without agriculture we would lose many products, one of the biggest being dairy. The average person consumes 584 pounds of dairy products a year.

All basketball boys need to turn in their bags and uniforms to Mr. Widdersheim by the end of the week.

Softball practice begins next Monday, the 27th. If there are any girls interested in playing that haven't talked to Mr. Widdersheim yet, please do so ASAP.

There will be a representative here from SEMO next Monday, February 27th during NAIL. Please sign up in the office if you would like to meet with the representative.
