First floor is dismissed early for lunch this week.
 
The boy's basketball team plays at Freeburg tonight.
 
The girl's basketball team defeated Dupo last night in Regional play. The girls play Wednesday at Dupo against Lebanon.
 
Students are not allowed on the gym floor during lunch period unless they remove their shoes or put on "clean" tennis shoes.
 
 
The PE ski trip to Hidden Valley is Thursday.
 
There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing softball this spring during activity period today.  The meeting will be in the high school gym.
 
Prom committee will meet during homeroom on Wednesday.

The girl's basketball team will have "senior night" activities Friday with a  5:00 PM make up game against Valmeyer.  This will also be senior night for the boys as they play Marissa.
 
The junior class will be hosting a soup and chili supper Friday as part of the senior night activities.
 
 
The Disney Trivia Fundraiser was postponed Saturday due to the snow.
 

·         Juniors-If you received a Greater Belleville Area Youth Leadership form please be aware they need to be turned into Ms. Wolter by this Thursday, 2-10-11

·         Seniors-The St. Clair Chapter of The Illinois Society of Professional Engineers is offering scholarships to seniors who plan to study engineering at an Illinois or Missouri university or college.  There will be an additional scholarship to a student entering the engineering field of study at SIUE.  Deadline: 2-11-11.

·         Seniors-American Business Women’s Association is offering scholarships to both men and women with a 2.5 or better GPA.  Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline: 2-14-11.

·         Seniors-Illinois PTA, Lillian E. Glover Scholarship is being offered to seniors entering the education of education-related field of study. If you would like more information, please check in guidance office.  Deadline: 2-15-11.

 
FFA proficiency awards will be held at New Athens after school on Wednesday.
