The boy's basketball team was down by ten points with five minutes to go against Waltonville last night in the Regional semi-final game, but they made a great run to tie the game and force overtime.  The boys went on to win and will play in the Regional Championship game tonight against Sesser at 7:30 in Steeleville for the first time in over ten years.

Tickets for tonight's game can be pre-purchased in the Superintendent's office for $4.  A free fan bus will be taken tonight if at least 30 students sign up to go to the game.  Students need to take home a permission slip after school and return it to the bus chaperone.  The bus will leave at 6PM.
Track practice will begin on Monday immediately after school.  Athletes need to have a physical and insurance waiver prior to participating.  Participants should have clothing to practice outside.

Student council will be hosting Donkey Basketball on March 3 in the Junior High Gym.  Come see Mrs. Albert, Mr. Kreher, Mr. Bambrough, Miss Spencer, Mrs. Thoma, Mr. Kinzinger, and Mr. W compete against the seniors or other possible teams.  Yes, they will be riding real donkeys and Mr. Works will be the "pooper scooper."  All proceeds go to student council to raise money for a new marquee and we really need your support.  If you buy tickets in advance, they are $6 and at the gate they are $8.  See a student council member to buy tickets in advance.  A team of four riders will cost $10 per ride

All Honor Society members need to be available to set up for the ceremony and practice after school on Tuesday, February 28. Honor Society will practice during NAIL period on Monday.
