The boys basketball team has a home game against Steeleville tonight. Their next game is Tuesday at Valmeyer.
 
The girls basketball team lost last night against Marissa. The girls play at Red Bud on Monday.
 
The freshmen boy's basketball team plays at lebanon on Monday.
 
 
The date for Prom is Saturday, April 9th.
 
The date for graduation is Saturday, May 28th at 2PM.
 
Spring picture day is next Thursday, February 3rd.
 
There will be no afternoon classes at Beck today.
 
Prom committee will meet duirng homeroom on Monday.
 

Any junior student who would like to attend a "Youth Day in Springfield" should contact Mrs. Hogg.  Students from various schools will tour the Capitol, Supreme Court, and other historic sites in Springfield.  Only two students from New Athens will be selected to attend.  You may also participate in the "Youth to Washington" program by writing a 500 word essay on "Why I would like to visit Washington, D.C. for a week."  Again, see Mrs. Hogg for details.

Honor Society Officers need to meet with Mrs. Hogg during Homeroom and Activity Periods this week.

 

 

DVD's of the Fall play will be available for purchase at $10 a piece. Please see Mr. Treece or Mrs. Quast and sign up so they can place an order, by Friday, January 28th.

 

The After-Prom Committee will be hosting a "Dress Resale Event" on Saturday, February 19th in the cafeteria.  Informational flyers are in the high school office for anyone who would like more information on the event.

 

The end of third quarter has been moved back a week from March 4th to March 11th due to the excessive number of snow days.  The progres reporting date will also be moved back from February 4th to February 11th.

 
 
The date for the ski trip to Hidden Valley has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 10th.
 
Cheerleaders will be taking orders for carnations during lunch period.  The carnations are $2 each or three for $5 and the flowers will be delivered on Valentine's Day.
 
 
Third floor will be dismissed early for lunch next week.
 
 
Selected FFA members will be attending a workshop today.
