Second floor should be dismissed early for lunch this week.
 
The cross country team has a home meet against Okawville and Steeleville today at 4:15 PM.  The race takes place at okaw Park.
 
The volleyball team has a home match against lebanon on Tuesday.  The match will be played in the junior high gym.
 

All Honor Society members should contact Ms Boyles about the boat races.  Permission slips to work the boat races this Saturday and Sunday are available through Ms. Boyles and Miss Hand.  Permission slips must be signed in order to work.  If you are volunteering on Saturday, please give permission slips to Ms. Boyles; if you are working on Sunday, give them to Miss Hand.

Breadeaux's Pizza in Freeburg will donate 10% of all sales from 5PM to close to the New Athens After-Prom Committee on Tuesday, September 15th.  A coupon for the 10% contribution is available in the high school office.  Students and families are encouraged to use the coupon to make purchases that evening in support of the after-prom activities.

Today will be the first calculation for No Pass No Play.  Any student having two "F's" as of Friday, will be ineligible for extra-currricular activities beginning the following Monday through Friday.  Grades are then re-checked each Friday to determine eligibility for the next week.
 
Parent Conferences will be next Thursday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to noon. High school parents will receive notification concerning which teachers have requested a conference.  Any parent who does not receive a conference notification can still request a conference by contacting Peggy at the high school office at 475-2173.
 

Attention all juniors, the practice SAT is available on Wednesday, October 14th for $13.  You must sign up by next Tuesday, Sept. 15th.  Please give money to Mrs. Wolter or Peggy.

Mrs. Wolter will be available in the High School Library from 6:15-7pm during Parent/Teacher conferences on Sept. 17th to discuss individual score reports on the PSAE, PLAN, and Explore which were all taken last school year.  Students will be receiving these results the following week if not picked up that night!

Mrs. Berowski will be here at lunch on Friday to discuss the Rotary Youth Exchange program.
 
The Hall of Fame Banquet will be Friday evening, September 18th. The event is open to the public, but there is a $10 charge for those wishing to participate in the meal. Reservations for the meal must be made by Monday, September 14th by calling Peggy at the high school office (475-2173).  This year's inductees are:  Dale Carr, Juanita Dudeck, Bob Matzenbacher, and Dick Petrowich.
