 Turn in your team roster and money to Mrs. Patton by Thursday for the Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament to be held this Saturday.


·         Seniors-Illinois Laborers’ & Contractors Joint Apprenticeship & Training Program is being offered.  If you think you would be interested in this program, details can be obtained in the guidance office. 

·         Seniors-Jim Heil Career & Tech Ed Scholarship Program is offering six $1,000.00 scholarships to deserving seniors enrolled in or previously enrolled in a vocational education program.  Details available in guidance office.  Deadline: 3-11-11.

·         Seniors- University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is hosting its 91st annual Engineering Open House on March 11th and 12th.  If you are entering the field of engineering this would be an opportunity to take a look at their program.  Additional information available in the guidance office.


Congratulations to Vince Kiefer, Hannah Parker, and Sydney Clark on being selected all-conference in basketball this past season.


Mr. Derwort will be conducting post season basketball evaluations for  all basketball players after school on Thursday.


Seniors: The St. Clair County Retired Teachers Association is offering a $500 scholarship  to a high school senior who is entering college for the purpose of becoming a teacher.    Deadline: 3-15-11.


·         High School Students- Kohl’s Cares Scholarship is being offered.  A student must be nominated for this scholarship, so if you have done volunteer work and show efforts above and beyond what is normally expected please contact Ms. Wolter about this scholarship.  Deadline: 3-15-11.


·         Seniors-Any senior majoring in physical or occupational therapy-Illinois Elks Children’s Care Program is offering scholarships.  If you are entering this field of study please check in the guidance office for details.  Deadline: 3-18-11.


·         Sophomores-if you are interested in attending a free leadership seminar in the Chicago area, please see Mrs. Wolter tomorrow!


Picture packets need to be returned to school (Mrs. Albert) by Thursday.

Students bringing a guest to the prom need to complete a guest permission slip.

The end of third quarter is this Friday.

An SIUe rep will be here Monday during homeroom.  Sign up in the guidance to meet with her.

Honor Society will meet today during activity period. Current and newly selected members should attend this meeting.

 The AP English class will be taking a field trip to SIUe  Friday.
