Sophomores will be meeting today during homeroom in the cafeteria.
Seniors will be meeting on Tuesday during homeroom in Mrs.Dinkelman's room.

Congratulations to the newly elected junior class officers:  President Erika Meyer, Vice President Kayla Doiron, Secretary Molly Works and Treasurer Katie Stitzel.

Juniors will have the speed pass for lunch this week and may "cut" in line ahead of any other students.
FFA students attending the Farmyard Follies need to be dismissed today at 2:25 PM and should meet Mr. Kinzinger in the cafeteria.
The vollyeball team opens their season tomorrow with first round play in the New Athens/Marissa Tournament.  The girls play Red bud at 4:30 and Chester in the last game of the night.  The games are played in the junior high gym.
The cross country team had a successful day Saturday at the Metro East Lutheran Invitational at SIUe.  The boy's team tied for 17th place with Nashville out of a total of 26 teams.  Zach Bogacki and Zach Bickel earned individual medals for finishing 31st and 34th. Staton O'Dell, Marc Dontigney, Cody Rettinghouse, and Tyler Paxton rounded out the scoring.  There were 172 total boys running in the varsity race. Molly Works earned an individual medal for finishing 19th in the girl's race.  Brandi Garrett, Shelby Strackeljahn, and Morgan Kelley also competed for the girls and ran well.  There were a total of 148 runners in the girl's varsity race.
Thee first FCA meeting of the year is tonight at 6:30PM in the cafeteria.  Join the group for fun, food, and fellowship.  See Mrs. Wolter for more information.
School will be dismissed Friday at 12:11 for School Improvement activities.
Students and employees are reminded that under a new law, cell phone usage is not permitted while driving in a school zone.  Offenders can be ticketed and have their licenses suspended.
There will be an important meeting Thursday for all students planning on attending the Performing Arts Disney Trip next summer. Students may still sign up up to participate in this field trip, but they must attend this important meeting.
High School picture day will be this Thursday. Fall sports of golf, volleyball, and cross country will have team and individual pictures taken.  Athletes need to remember to bring their uniforms.
