The boy's basketball team defeated Steeleville last Friday.  They now begin Regional play at Trico on Tuesday with an 8PM game against Elverado.


Juniors will be meeting during activity period on Tuesday in the cafeteria.


First floor is dismissed early for lunch this week.


ACT Prep Classes will be offered at Waterloo High School.  The classes  will be held on Monday evenings from 7-9 p.m. on the 5 Mondays in March.  Waterloo students can apply until February 12th, after that it will be open to students at other schools.  The cost is $40.00 and students must provide their own copy of The Real ACT Prep Guide 2nd Edition.  If you would be interested in these classes apply ASAP after February 12th. 


National FFA Week will be celebrated beginning today.  Today is FFA pride day.  Members (and non-members) were encouraged to wear blue and gold.  Ag. Olympics will be held this evening at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. Tomorrow is tractor apparel day and "drive your tractor to school day".


There will be an assembly on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:30 AM in the high school gym as representatives from the American Red Cross discuss the upcoming March 3rd blood drive. Sign-ups will begin immediately following the assembly.


FCA will be meeting tonight at 6:00 PM.


·         Seniors-Dr. Willard C. Scrivner Public Health Foundation Scholarship is offering a health-related field of study scholarship to a student entering this field.  If you are entering a health-related field of study and wish to apply for this please see Ms. Wolter.    Deadline: 2-26-10.

·         Juniors and Seniors-SWIC is holding its 22nd Annual Metro East Baccalaureate College Fair on Sunday, February 28th, 1:30-3:30 p.m..  There will be 100 colleges and universities at this fair.  In addition there will be financial aide workshops.

·         Female Juniors & Seniors-Zonta Scholarships & Awards is being offering several scholarships & awards to female students.  Please check in guidance office for details on these.  Deadline: 2-28-10. Other scholarship deadlines may vary depending on the scholarship.



The Foreign Language club will be meeting this Wednesday in the library to watch a movie. Students are encouraged to bring a foreign "dish" to serve.


School will be dismissed this Friday at 12:12 for school improvement activities.
