The volleyball team defeated Marissa in Friday's Volley For the Cure match. The next match is Tuesday at home against Trico.

The NA After Prom Committee will be working the Haunted Trail Fri & Sat Oct 7th & 8th in Waterloo. Lori Main needs some extra workers so that volunteers don’t have to work both nights.  The group will be leaving New Athens at approximately 4:30 pm Fri & Sat so that they can get makeup and supper before being set to go in the woods at 7pm (through 11pm) If anyone needs a ride or has questions please call Lori at 618/406-3438

Congratulations to the volleyball team on placing 2nd in Saturday's Sparta Tournament.  The team defeated Marissa, Steeleville, and Trico before losing in three games to Sparta.  Shelby Strackeljahn and Molly Works were named to the all-tournament team.

Mr. Treece will be investigating student misuse of games and other blocked sites this past Thursday.  He will tultimately find out who the violators were, so you are encouraged to see him to save the time and effort that will be required to do this investigation.  Mr. Works will show more leniency to those students who voluntarily admit misuse versus those who are caught.

Second floor has early lunch dismissal this week.

The senior class is planning a Halloween masquerade dance for Friday evening, Oct 28 from 7:30 - 10 pm.  The cost will be $8 per person or $5 per person if you are in costume.  Costumes must be school appropriate.  If you want to bring a guest, please see Mr. Works for a permission form.

Sophomore ring orders will be taken on Tuesday between 3:00 and 5:00 PM in the main foyer.

Today's lunch menu includes hamburger on bun for A lunch and and chef salad for B lunch
