Third floor should be dismissed early for lunch this week and next.
The boy's cross country team lost to Steeleville on Friday 26 to 30 (low score wins).  Top filnishers included Cameron Reuss in 2nd, Zach Bickel in 3rd, and Ben Mohr in 6th.  Okawville won the girl's race 23 to 33.  Molly Works placed 1st overall.  The team participates in the Sparta Invitational on Wednesday.
The volleyball team has a home match against lebanon on Tuesday.  The match will be played in the junior high gym. The match scheduled for Thursday at New Athens against Marissa has been moved to Marissa.

Breadeaux's Pizza in Freeburg will donate 10% of all sales from 5PM to close to the New Athens After-Prom Committee on Tuesday, September 15th.  A coupon for the 10% contribution is available in the high school office.  Students and families are encouraged to use the coupon to make purchases that evening in support of the after-prom activities.

Parent Conferences will be next Thursday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to noon. High school parents will receive notification concerning which teachers have requested a conference.  Any parent who does not receive a conference notification can still request a conference by contacting Peggy at the high school office at 475-2173.
FCA officers will be meeting today during activity period in the library.
FFA will be meeting on Tuesday during homeroom.

Attention all juniors, the practice SAT is available on Wednesday, October 14th for $13.  You must sign up by next Tuesday, Sept. 15th.  Please give money to Mrs. Wolter or Peggy.

Mrs. Wolter will be available in the High School Library from 6:15-7pm during Parent/Teacher conferences on Sept. 17th to discuss individual score reports on the PSAE, PLAN, and Explore which were all taken last school year.  Students will be receiving these results the following week if not picked up that night.

The Hall of Fame Banquet will be Friday evening, September 18th. The event is open to the public, but there is a $10 charge for those wishing to participate in the meal. Reservations for the meal must be made by Monday, September 14th by calling Peggy at the high school office (475-2173).  This year's inductees are:  Dale Carr, Juanita Dudeck, Bob Matzenbacher, and Dick Petrowich.
