FFA members interested in attending the National Convention will have a meeting during homeroom on Tuesday.
 
The FFA Hog Raffle will start today. Tickets can be purchased from FFA members and are $1.00/ticket or $5.00/6 tickets. There will be two winners and each will recieve a half of processed hog. Raffle ends the second week in October.
 
First floor should be dismissed early for lunch this week and next.
 
The consumer education proficiency test will be given on Wednesday, September 30.  Any student is eligible to take this test as long as they are not currently enrolled in the class.  Passing the test will allow a student to skip the required consumer education class in high school.  A sign up sheet will be in the office.  Students should see Mr. Works for more information.
 
The cross country team is scheduled to compete at Chester on Tuesday and Thursday.
 
The volleyball team has a home match tonight against Gibault and alos on tuesday against Steeleville.
 
Detentions are scheduled for Tuesday from 3:20-4:15.  Students who have been assigned a detention need to confirm their attendance with Mr. Works.
 
Honor Society will meet with Miss Boyles on Tuesday during activity period.
 
There is an early dismissal scheduled for Friday.  We will be on an abbreviated schedule and will dismiss at 12:12.
 

·         Seniors- Southeast Missouri State University will be here on September 30th at 3:00 p.m.   If you are interested in meeting with the representative sign up in guidance office by noon on September 30th.

·         Seniors- Tufts University would like to invite students and their parents to a admissions information session on Wednesday, September 30th at 7:00 p.m. This will be held at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel.  Their programs include:  international studies, the life and health sciences, philosophy, environmental engineering, active citizenship and public policy studies.

·         Seniors-Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship is being offered to seniors who participate in one of more sports and a leader in school or community.  You can apply on line. For information check in guidance office.  Deadline; 10-1-09.
