The cross country team participates in the Freeburg Invitational at Smithton today.  The team needs to be dismissed at 2:35 and the bus leaves at 2:45.

·        Seniors-SEMO representative will be here on September 27th at 8:15.  Please sign up in guidance office by noon on Monday to meet with her.

·        Seniors- Illinois State University is holding a career fair for students who enjoy math and looking for a career in actuary.  The Career Fair will be held on Sept. 30th from 4-6 pm.  Information is available in the guidance office.

The Volleyball Players will be selling Pink Carnations this week during lunch.  The pink carnations will be $2.00 a piece and will be delivered next Thursday during activity period.  These carnations will represent_"Just to let you know I care".


Volley For the Cure will Start Next Week:


Monday, Sept. 26th - HAT DAY- Bring one $1.00

Tuesday, Sept. 27th -School Spirit

Wednesday, Sept. 28th - Wear past Volley For The Cure T-Shirts

Thursday, Sept. 29th - PINK OUT  -The volley for the Cure game -  C-game starts at 5:30 in New Athens H.S. Gym


Mrs. Wolter will be meeting with all juniors during homeroom today.  She will also meet with morning Beck students during activity period.


Congratulations to all the students who participated in Monday’s math contest at SWIC.  Special congratulations to Tyler Gabelman who placed 5th in the senior division.  And to the team of Tyler Gabelman, Renee Kinzinger, Mallory Warnecke, and Sierra Gardner who placed 3rd in the team


The JV and varsity volleyball teams both defeated Dupo last night.

The FCA will  hosting a Soup/Chili Supper for the Volley the Cure--Starting at 4:30 on Thursday, September 29th.------The money will be split between  the FCA and SUSAN G KOMEN--Sign up sheet for workers and soups/chili/desserts will be posted on Mrs. Patton's door.  PLEASE SIGN UP!!!


Parent conferences will be Thursday and Friday, September 29th and 30th.


The Hall of Fame Banquet will be Friday, September 30th in the cafeteria.  New inductees include:  Jon Adamson, David "Red" Lehr, and Kenny Pour.  Doors open at 5PM with a meal at 5:30.  The event is open to the public, but those wishing to eat supper need to make reservations with Peggy (475-2173) in the high school office.

Today's lunch menu includes ravioli for A lunch and salad bar for B lunch
