Attention all students and faculty:  The baseball team will be playing at GCS Ballpark, home of the Gateway Grizzlies, on Thursday, April 29th.  The game will start at 7:00pm against Mr. Noffke's Alma mater, Stewardson/Strasburg.  Tickets are $4.00/seat and can be purchased from any baseball player.  We hope to see you there!

 

 

Second floor is dismissed early for lunch this week.

 

The track team performed well at Tuesday’s meet at Chester. The boy’s 3200 relay team of Reuss, Mohr, Ingles, and Bogacki lowered their school record to 9:20.6. The girls 400 relay team of Wolf, Hill, Miller, and Smith set a personal record (PR).  Abby Wolf had a PR in the 100 and Ben Mohr had a PR in the 1600. Cameron Reuss won the 400 in a school record of 53.0 and he also tied his PR in the 100.  The girls 800 relay team of Smith, Hill, Miller, and Wolf set a school record in this event.

 

 

Yearbook would like to take a picture of all seniors in the HS gym Friday morning during homeroom.

 

 

Athletes should turn in any sports pictures that they may want to use for the athletic banquet slide show to their respective coaches.

 

A representative from Lindenwood University will be here during activity period on Thursday.  Please sign up by noon on Thursday to visit with the representative.

 

 

·         Current freshmen, sophomores and juniors- Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is offering a Summer Program to introduce various engineering disciplines, computer science and construction management to aspiring high school students.  There is a program cost and the application deadline is 4-23-10.

·         Seniors-Washington University invites you to attend a session on Essay Writing Tips (for students) and Financial Assistance 101 (for parents) on Tuesday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m.  There will be an optional campus tour that begins at 5:30 and session check-in begins at 6:30. 

 

 
Selected students from Mr. Knippel's art classes will be attending the Steeleville art contest today.
 
 
The baseball and softball teams have home games against Dupo today.
 
The JV baseball team has a home game against Marissa on Friday.
 
The FFA banquet is Friday, April 23rd.  The silent auction begins at 5:00 and the meal begins at 6:00.
