Yearbooks will be distributed during NAIL period on Friday.  There are only a few yearbooks remaining for purchase.  The price is $40.  See Mrs. Albert if you would like to purchase a yearbook.
 
Juniors will have the speed pass for lunch today and may "cut" in line ahead of any non-juniors.
 
Teachers are reminded to meet with the Fidelity Rep today between 8:30 and 4:00 in room 408.
 
The New Athens Cross Country Invitational is next Tuesday, August 24th.  The girl's race is at 4PM and the boys run at approximately 4:45.  Mr. Works is looking for volunteers (adults or students) to help with the race. Students are also encouraged to come down to Okaw Park to support the runners in their first meet.
 
Members of the boy's golf team will be leaving early today for their first match.
 
Please try to prepay for lunches by turning money in to Peggy at the high school office.  The money will be applied to your lunch account and will speed up the serving time during the lunch period.
 
Please give a warm welcome to MS Middendorf who will be student teaching with Mr. Knippel in the Art department this semester.
 
There will be an important meeting on Thursday, September 2nd for all students planning on attending the Performing Arts Disney Trip next summer. Students may still sign up up to participate in this field trip, but they must attend this important meeting.
 
High School picture day will be Thursday, September 2nd.
 

The HS Volleyball Team will be having a Purple/Gold Game onTuesday, August 24th @ 6:00 p.m. The game will be played in the Junior High Gym.   The Purple/Gold game will allow the community to see the volleyball team before the season gets underway. the team will scrimmage against each other and the Varsity team will then compete against members of the faculty. This event is open to the community and the door admission will be to bring can food or $1.00.  All proceeds will be donated to the local Food Pantry.
