The boy's basketball team played a great game against Okawville last night, but lost by one point on a last second shot at the buzzer.  Congratulations to the coaches and the players on an excellent season.

Sign up during lunch for the blood drive on March 3rd.  This year New Athens high School has been chosen to be part of newer technology that allows us to collect double the amount of red blood cells and the donor receives their own plasma and platelets back.  It’s a great process that leaves most donors feeling better than a usual whole blood donation.  There are some more stringent criteria though, when you sign up today check to see if you qualify!  Let’s try to beat last years drive of 70 units of blood.

Honor Society will be meeting during homeroom this morning.

Track practice is scheduled to begin on Monday.  Mr. Works will be working as a volunteer coach for the distance runners. Distance runners should bring warm weather running apparel for outside practice.

School will be dismissed this Friday at 12:12 for school improvement activities.
