The boy's basketball team led #1 seeded Perryville, Missouri at halftime at last night's Chester Invitational game, but ended up losing by about ten points.  The team plays for third place on Saturday at 6:00 PM.
The girl's basketball team is scheduled to play at Dupo tonight.

Mrs. Wolter needs to meet with the following juniors in room 202 on Friday during homeroom to discuss PSAT results:    Zach Bickel, Lexie Blank, Sarah Cockrell, Kayla Doiron, Lizzie Fisher, Tyler Gabelman, Brandi Garrett, Emily Holland-Steenson, Destiny Labbee, Neil Laumbattus, Erika Meyer, Paige Modglin, Tyler Pulliam, Haley Renth, Zach Riebeling, Erin Shoemaker, Micaela Smith, Courtney Steiger, Katie Stitzel, Shelby Strackeljahn, Danielle Tockstein, & Molly Works


Mrs. Wolter will have a scholarship meeting for seniors in room 202 during activity period today.


Mr. Rader and Mr. Works will be conducting conditioning "open gym" training Tuesdays and Thursdays for any students who want to get in shape for spring sports, or for any students who simply want to improve their conditioning.


Mrs. Hogg will have two meetings for all students eligible for induction in to the Natinal Honor Society.  Students MUST attend one of the meetings to be considered for induction, and they MUST also complete an application for induction. The meetings will occur during hmeroom and activity period on Tuesday, January 18th in Mrs. Hogg's classroom.  A list of candidates is posted on the bulletin board, and each teacher also has a list.


The After-Prom Committee will be hosting a "Dress Resale Event" on Saturday, February 19th in the cafeteria.  Informational flyers are in the high school office for anyone who would like more information on the event.

The date for the ski trip to Hidden Valley will be Thursday, January 20th. Permission slips and money must be turned in today. The bus will leave at 8AM and return at approximately 5:45 PM on the day of the trip.
Menu changes this week include:  Thursday "A" lunch mostaccioli and turkey sandwich for "B" lunch and hot dogs on Friday. 
Junior prom committee will meet on this morning during homeroom

·         Seniors-Hugh G White & Lewis Lynch Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship is being offered to students pursuing an education in aviation, aerospace, engineering or technology careers.   If you are entering any of these fields of education, check with Ms. Wolter for details.  Deadline: 1-15-11.

·         Sophomores-Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership is being offered to outstanding sophomores.  If you would be interested in this summer program please contact Ms. Wolter.


Culture Club will be meeting Wednesday, January 19th from 3:30-5:30 in the library to watch The Butterfly, a French Movie. Please bring a snack to share. If you can find a French recipe, even better! Anyone is welcome


School will be dismissed at 12:11 on Friday for school improvement activities.


There is no school on Monday, January 17th due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day.


Third floor will be dismissed early for lunch this week.
