Volleyball Players attending the SIUE Team camp this summer need to pay Mrs. Patton $25 by the end of this month.   The dates for the team camp are Thursday, July 29 and Friday, July 30th.


Reminder:  Get your teams signed up for the 2nd Annual Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament.  It's Saturday, April 24th------  Cost is $7.00 a person and the top 3 teams will receive T-shirts this year..       Sign up with Mrs. Patton!


The following FCA students have signed up for the meeting in Belleville next week. Please pay $2 for pizza money to Mrs. Wolter ASAP:  Justin Aasher, Tiffany Spears, Micaela Smith, Renne Kinzinger, Kristina Vidmar, Kaylee Birkner, Kelsey Birkner, Alexis Elms, Chris Harvwerth, & Katelynn Warner

The HS Spring Band and Chorus Concert is Tuesday, March 23rd.  Come and enjoy traditional chorus, band, and ensemble music at 7:00! 

Volleyball Team--Pictures are next Wed. @ 3:00 in the H.S. gym.   You  MUST bring your form and money!!!  !!!  Everyone on the team is required to be there!

The Community Theatre is presenting its spring production "Mother Goose, Inc." tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday. The show times are 7PM, and the performances will take place at the Multi-Purpose Center. Several New Athens' students will be performing.

The track team performed well at last night's meet.  The boy's 4X800 meter relay team of Cameron Reuss, Adam Ingles, Ben Mohr, and Jeremy Hepp set a school record. First place finishers ilncluded Cameron Reuss in the 100 and 400 and Molly Works in the 1600 and 3200.


The softball team has a doubleheader at Sparta today.  These games were originally scheduled for Saturday. The bus will leave at 2:45 and athletes should be dismissed ten minutes early.


The baseball team has a doubleheader at home this Saturday.  They play Peoria Christian at 10AM and Sparta at 3PM.


Some 4 million new teen drivers are licensed every year and over half of them will be involved in a crash before they turn 20.


Nearly 40% of all teen crashes are caused by speeding.


Two thirds (66%) of teens who die in car crashes are not buckled up.


Congratulations to Erika Laumbattus and Neil Laumbattus for placing1st in their proficiency area at last nights District V contest! Bothwill move on to state April 10th! Good luck to both of them!


Horticulture/AgBusiness CDE will be at SWIC on Monday, March 22. Practice is tonight after school in the Ag Room.


After Prom ticket sales will be on the following Thursdays:  March 18th & 25th, and April 8th & 15th.  Dairy Queen mini-blizzard certificates will be given to those students who purchase after-prom tickets on March 18th. Tickets will be $5.  All students 18 and younger will need a signed permission slip to purchase a ticket.
