Volleyball Players attending the SIUE Team camp this summer need to pay Mrs. Patton $25 by the end of this month.   The dates for the team camp are Thursday, July 29 and Friday, July 30th.

All school testing will be conducted this morning.
The baseball team is scheduled to play Gibault in a home game today. The baseball team is also scheduled to play a doubleheader at Waterloo on Saturday.
Miss Boyles' English & Communication Class will be on a field trip to SWIC today.
There will be an FFA meeting on Thursday at 6PM in the Ag. Room to elect 2010-2010 chapter officers.
Students participating in the Platinum Chef Competition should meet with Miss Nowakowski during activity period on Friday and Monday.
If you would like the opportunity to tour Washington DC, check with Ms. Boyles for details.  The Monroe County Elecric Co-Operative is sponsoring an essay contest that could send you on a Washington trip this June 11-18.  Write a 500 word essay on "What rural electrification is and a brief history of the Rural Electrification Administration or REA."  Ms Boyles has resource materials if you are interested.  Contest entry deadline is Monday, April 1.


The Monroe County Electric Co-Operative is also sponsoring an all-inclusive trip to Springfield, Illinois, where students will get to tour the Capitol, Supreme Court, and other historical sites.  This "Youth Day in Springfield" is on Wednesday, April 21.  If you are interested and you are a sophomore or junior, submit your name to Ms. Boyles.  Two students from New Athens High School are eligible to attend - your name could be one of them.  Ms. Boyles will need to know all interested people by Friday.



Honor Society officers should meet in Ms. Boyles' room during homeroom on Friday.


We have been notified that sitting on the temporary bleachers while they are "pushed in" can do damage to the bleachers.  Please do not sit on these bleachers at any time unless they are pulled out for regular seating.


Seniors-entering a medical care or well-being of senior citizens field of study- the United Steelworkers SOAR Scholarship.  Student must be a child or grandchild of a SOAR member.  Deadline: 3-27-10. 


Seniors-entering a health related field of study- St. Clement Community Foundation is offering a $1,000.00 scholarship.  Deadline: 3-29-10.


Seniors-LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP-Helen Dickson Troester for students in education.  Deadline: 3-31-10.


Seniors entering the teaching profession-Alpha Delta Kappa Illinois Scholarship is being offered.  Deadline: 3-31-10.


After Prom ticket sales will be today, April 8th & 15th.  Dairy Queen mini-blizzards will be given to those students who purchase after-prom tickets today. Tickets will be $5.  All students 18 and younger will need a signed permission slip to purchase a ticket.
