Congratulations to the boy's basketball team on placing third in the Chester Tournament.  The boys do not play again until Tuesday, january 24th.
 
The girl's basketball team plays at Waterloo Wednesday and at Valmeyer onThursday.
 

There will be a volleyball meeting tomorrow during activity period.

 

Mrs. Patton is absent so today’s after school workout is canceled

 

Beck Field Trip permission forms are due on Thursday.

 

All volleyball players give their volleyball shoes to Mrs. Dinkleman

 

Seniors will be meeting during homeroom on Wednesday.

 

There will be a Junior Class meeting during activity period today to discuss homecoming week items. The entire Jr. Class should attend.

 

Student Council will meet during homeroom on Friday.

 Homecoming tickets will go on sale next Friday the Thursday the 26th, Friday the 27th, and Monday the 30th of January.  Tickets are $8 per couple or $5 per person.  Even if you are going solo, grab a friend and purchase your tickets together.  After the 30th, ticket prices will go up and no one will be in the cafeteria selling them.  You will have to track down Mrs. Thoma to get a ticket.  The first 100 tickets sold will receive a masquerade mask.  We encourage you to decorate them for the contest held on Saturday at the dance.
 
The hallway decorating competition will be on Monday the 30th of January.  All classes will decorate during 6th and 7th hours.  Everyone must be out of the hallways after school for the judging to take place.  Everyone must be able to get into their lockers after the decorating is complete.
 
Look for posters in the halls at the end of the week that will inform you of the dress-up days.  Remember this is a class competition and every day is worth points.  Every one in the class who dresses up and participates will recieve a point for your class that day and the percentage of students dressed up will be counted.  The competition will last throughout the week and classes have chances to also earn points in the hall decorating (200 points for 1st, 150 points for second, 100 points for 3rd, and 50 points for 4th.) Winner of class poster (200 points for 1st, 150 points for second, 100 points for 3rd, and 50 points for 4th.), Winner of skits (200 points for 1st, 150 points for second, 100 points for 3rd, and 50 points for 4th.) winner of tug of war (50 points), eating contest (50 points), minute to win it (10 points)

 

The alumni basketball game is this Saturday.

  
A representative from the Marines will be here during lunch period today.
 
There will be a parent informational meeting tonight in Room 205 at 6:00 P.M. for all those interested in the trip to Costa Rica in the summer of 2013.  If you are unable to attend, please see Ms. Spencer for details.
 
Guest permission forms for the Homecoming Dance are on the counter in the office.
 

All volleyball players who are working and bringing soups, breads, lunch meat ,and other items to the tournament on January 28th, need to sign up outside of Mrs. Patton's door.  Also, the order forms for T-shirts, hoodies, warm-ups, shoes, knee pads, and other items need to be turned in by, Friday, January 20.  No money needed for now ---Just all orders!!!!

Students who plan on participating in spring sports (baseball, softball, or track) must have a current sports physical on file before being allowed to practice.

Mascoutah High School will be hosting a "Formal Dress Sale" on Saturday, January 28 from 9AM to 1PM.  The sale include both new and used dresses.  Students can also sell their old dresses for a consignment fee of $5.  Informational flyers are on the bulletin board and the door of the girl's restroom.
 
Today's lunch menu includes burrito for A lunch and ham sandwich for B lunch.
 
Third floor is dismissed early for lunch this week.
 
School will be dismissed at 12:11 today and there will be no school next Monday
