High school yearbooks are on sale.  The books cost $40 each and you can get your book personalized with name imprinting ($5 additional) and up to four icons ($5 each).   The yearbook staff will be taking orders during lunch. The order deadline is May 15.

The baseball and softball teams have home games today against Lebanon.

The baseball team plays at Trico on Wednesday while the softball team will play at Freeburg. The softball game is a change from the original schedule which showed a game at Sparta.

Third floor is dismissed early for lunch this week and next.

Detentions are tentatively scheduled for today.

The freshman/sophomore girl's track team continues to perform well.  At yesterday's Chester Invitational, Micaela Smith jumped 4'10" in the high jump breaking her own school record and finishing 2nd. She also placed 4th in the long jump .  Molly Works broke her own school records in the 3200M (13:27) and 1600M (6:05) finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.  Katie Stitzel was 5th in the triple jump, Miranda Crider was 5th in the 200M, and the 1600M relay team of Smith, Doiron, Works, and Crider finished 5th. 

The boys 4X100M realy team  broke the school record a while back at 50.8 seconds.  The team includes Cameron Reuss, Joe Wolf, Ryan White, and Ethan Tadlock.

The athletic banquet is scheduled for May 13th. Athletes need to RSVP with the informational letter to Mr. "W".

All volleyball players -- If you are working the elementary school camp you need to pay Mrs. Patton $30.00 by Friday, May 22. If you are NOT working the elementary school camp, you need to pay $60.00 to Mrs. Patton by Friday, May 22.
Seniors need to turn in  t-shirt money to Mrs. Patton by Friday, May 15th.

All library materials need to be turned in by this Friday.  Mr. Treece needs to get the library ready for construction work as soon as school is out.

There will be an informational  cross country meeting for all students interested in possibly participating next fall on Wednesday during homeroom in room 202.  All students who participated in cross country this past fall should attend the meeting, even if they do not plan on running next season or if they are a graduating senior.

All sophomore dessert orders will be here 7th hour on Friday.  Make arrangements to get those frozen items home or delivered immediately after school on Friday.  Sophomores who have orders to pick up should meet in the cafeteria in activity period on Friday.
Student Council will meet Thursday morning to make plans for the honors banquet. 

Seniors-Local Scholarship~ If planning to attend SWIC and are in the top 10% of your class, you are eligible for the Southwestern Illinois College TOP 10% Tuition Scholarship.  Please check in the office for details.
