Tomorrow is wear red for Red Ribbon week.  All senior student council members need to be dismissed for class at 10:10 tomorrow to help decorate the cafeteria.

 

Pagie, Sarah, Renee, and Dylayna need to stay after school today to help with the red ribbon hunt.

 

To all students, there will be a red ribbon hunt tomorrow morning.  There will be red ribbons strategically placed throughout the school with numbers on them.  If you find a red ribbon, then bring it to Miss Howes and you will receive a prize.  You cannot win twice!

 

Stat of the day:  Marijuana is addictive.  More teens are in treatment with a primary diagnosis of marijuana dependence than for all other illicit drugs combined.

 

·         Seniors-2010 Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarships are being offered.  Details on these scholarships can be found in the guidance office or on-line. Deadline: 11-2-09. 

·         All High School Students- The Prudential Spirit of Community Award is being offered to students that distinguish themselves for community service.  If you have taken part in community service activities this past year, you may want to apply for this.  See Ms. Wolter for details.  Deadline: 11-2-09.

Seniors have a class meeting today during activity period in the cafeteria.

Cross country runners are reminded to turn in t-shirt money.  Those runners not running in the post season need to turn in uniforms.

The boy's cross country team and individual qualifier, Molly Works, will be running at the Sectional meet at SIUE on Saturday.  The bus will leave at 7:30 AM.  Any student interested in riding the bus and attending the meet at Edwardsville on Saturday should sign up in the office. 

Mr. Works has two Regional cross country t-shirts for sale.  The shirts are small, and the cost is $14.

A fire drill is scheduled for Friday at 9:35 AM.

Afternoon Beck students will not attend Beck on Friday.
