Selected FFA members will be attending a soil judging competition in Decatur today.
The second floor computer lab will be unavailable this morning until construction work is completed.
Cross country runners should be dismissed at the start of activity period for today's meet.

Congratulations to the following newly selected Student Council members.

Seniors:  Rachel Stoops, Brandy Contratto, Dylayna Little, and Tyler Womack

Juniors:  Sierra Shields, Trisha Juenger, and Sara Broadway

 Freshmen:  Renee Kinzinger and Kaylee Birkner

 Sophomores will have a second vote today during homeroom.


Mr. Noffke would like to meet with all Driver Ed students who completed the class portion last year, but have not completed the driving portion.  He would like to meet them in room 202 during activity period today to arrange times to drive after school. 


·         Seniors- Colleges That Change Lives -is holding their September Tour. It will be held September 12-17th in various states. The closest location for you would be in Chesterfield, MO.   If you are interested, check in the guidance office for more details.

·         Seniors-Anyone interested in attending Duke University- they would like to invite you to meet with admissions officers at Clayton High School on Sunday, September 13th to answer any questions you may have about their university.

·         Seniors-If you are interested in attending Duke, Harvard, Georgetown, Penn or Stanford, there will be a student/parent information session held in Springfield, IL on Wednesday, September 23rd.  For information check in guidance office.


Volleyball players will have a meeting during activity period on Wednesday.  The meeting will be in the high school gym..

Picture day is scheduled for this Thursday.  Morning Beck students and Seniors will get their pictures taken first.  Each senior must have $10 on that day for the composite picture.  There will also be sports pictures taken for golf, cross country and volleyball so please bring your uniforms. Coaches and Assistant coaches should make arrangements to be in the team picture.

School will be dismissed at 12:19 (12:12) for the high school on Friday.  We will be following an abbreviated schedule.

There is no school on Monday due to Labor Day.

The volleyball team opens their season with two games on Wednesday.  The team plays Chester at 4:30 and Trico at approximately 7:30.
