The boy's cross country team finished 5th out of 16 teams at last night's Nashville Invitational ony one point behind Chester and two points behind Pinckneyville.  All of the boys ran great with Cameron Reuss earning an individual medal for placing 19th.  The rest of the Varsity boys finished as follows:  Zach Bogacki 24, Zach Bickel 33, Ben Mohr 34, Bobby Poe 43, Derrick Hoffman 53, and Adam Ingles 60.  There were a total of 100 runners. Molly Works was 4th overall in the girl's race earning an individual medal.  Kayla Doiron finished 47, Zoey Hill 73, Abby Wolf 74, Aimee Stephens 77, and Morgan Kelley 80.  There were a total of 80 girls in the Varsity race. The team runs at the Freeburg Invitational on Wednesday.
Congratulations to everyone who competed at last night's Math Competition at SWIC.  Special congratulations to individual grade level winners:  Freshman Renee Kinzinger 5th, Sophomores Tyler Gabelman 6th and Micaela Smith 3rd, and Senior Austin Range 2nd.  Also congratulations to the four person team of Austin Range, Kelsey Birkner, Micaela Smith, and Renee Kinzinger who came in 2nd (after a tie breaker).  Great Job Guys!!!
The volleyball team has a home match against Dupo tonight.
Art Club will start tonight after school.  Students do not have to be in an art class to join art club.
·         Seniors-If you are interested in attending Duke, Harvard, Georgetown, Penn or Stanford, there will be a student/parent information session held in Springfield, IL on Wednesday, September 23rd.  For information check in guidance office.
·         FCA will be sponsoring See you at the Pole on Wednesday, September 24th at 7:45 am.  Students will be gathered in the front of the school y the flag pole.  Doughnuts and juice will be provided.· 
        Seniors- Southeast Missouri State University will be here on September 30th at 3:00 p.m.   If you are interested in meeting with the representative sign up in guidance office by noon on September 30th.
·         Seniors- Tufts University would like to invite students and their parents to a admissions information session on Wednesday, September 30th at 7:00 p.m. This will be held at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel.
·         Seniors-Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship is being offered to seniors who participate in one of more sports and a leader in school or community.  You can apply on line. For information check in guidance office.  Deadline; 10-1-09.
The golf team competes at Marissa tonight.
Sophomores will be meeting with a representative from Jostens on Monday at 8:10 AM in the high school gym to discuss ring orders. Sophomore sponsors should attend this meeting.
