First floor should be dismissed a few minutes early for lunch this week.
 
Students may not park in reserved parking spaces.  Please check the second floor bulletin board to verify which spaces have been reserved.  Students should pick up their parking passes from the office. Students wanting a reserved space can still purchase one for $10 each semester.
 
Sophomores will be meeting Thursday of this week to elect class officers.  The meeting will be in the Ag. room during homeroom and students can report directly there at the start of homeroom.
 
Miss Howes will have a meeting for all students interested in being selected for Student Council.  The meeting will be today during  home room in the cafeteria.
 
The junior class will be meeting on Friday during home room in Miss Nowakowski's classroom.
 
The cross country team has their first meet this Saturday at SIUE. The bus will leave at 7:45 AM. The cross country team will host their annual invitational next Tuesday at the Okaw Park.  Students are encouraged to come out and support the runners.  The girl's race is at 4:00PM and the boy's race will follow.  Volunteers are also needed to help at the meet.
 
The FFA group will be traveling to DuQuoin on Saturday for an activity.
 
Mrs. Wolter will not be here the rest of this week.
 

Picture day is scheduled for Thurs, Sept 3.  Seniors will get their pictures taken first.  Each senior must have $10 on that day for the composite picture.  There will also be sports pictures taken for golf, cross country and volleyball so please bring your uniforms. Coaches and Assistant coaches should make arrangements to be in the team picture.

Mr. Treece and Mrs. Quast will be in the high school library right after school for anyone who still needs to audition for the play. They will be there until a little after four. If there is anyone who has a time conflict, please see Mr. Treece or Mrs. Quast.

All Spanish students should report to the high school library during activity period today. You will be meeting and speaking with a Spanish teacher from Venezuela.

If you are interested in joining the yearbook staff (VESPA), applications are available from Mrs. Albert in room 203.  Pick up applications ASAP as the deadline to turn them in will be Friday, Sept 4.

Extra yearbooks are available from Mrs. Albert for $40.
