 The boy's and girl's cross country teams will compete at the SIUE Sectional race on Saturday, October 29th.



There will be a prom committee meeting this morning during homeroom to discuss prom decorations.

Congratulations to all the students who participated in Monday night's Math Team competition.  Special congratulations to Freshmen Lucas Harper who placed 6th and Jacob Hundelt who placed 5th.  And to Senior Tyler Gableman who placed 6th.  Great season to all.

·        Seniors-U of I Springfield will be here on October 27th, at 3 p.m. for a college visit.  If you are interested in meeting with the representative please sign up in the guidance office by October 26th.

·        Seniors-Harris-Stowe State University is having a Open House on Saturday, October 29 at 11:30 a.m. This will give you the opportunity to learn more about Harris-Stowe. Information available in the guidance office.

·        Seniors-The Horatio Alger Association scholarship is being offered.   Information for this scholarship is available in the guidance office.   Deadline: 10-30-11.

·        Seniors-Coca-Colas Scholars Program is offering 250 scholarships.  For details on this, please check in the guidance office.  Deadline: 10-31-11.

·        Seniors-MacMurray College representative will be here on November 1st   at 8:15.  If you would like to meet with the representative, please sign up in the Guidance office by noon, Monday October 31st

School will be dismissed at 12:11 on Friday for school improvement activities. 
The volleyball team ended their season with a loss to Gibault last night.  The second game was close at 25 to 21.  Thanks seniors for four great years.

Select seniors will be attending Career Path Day at SWIC on Thursday. Students need to be in the cafeteria at 8:00 and the bus will be leaving at 8:10. DO NOT BE LATE!

Honor Society  will meet today during activity period.
Beginning Monday, Mr. Works will enforce the policy of not allowing students to charge more than $10 on their meal plans.  Students over that amount must have cash in order to receive a meal.  Students on the free or reduced meal program who are over $10 due to purchasing "extras" will receive a peanut butter sandwich as their main entree. 
The Halloween Dance is Friday from 7:30-10:00PM.  Students should arrive no later than 8:00PM.  Students who leave the dance prior to 10PM will not be allowed to re-enter.  Students wearing costumes that are deemed inappropriate will not be allowed.
