The cross country team will be running at Chester on Thursday.  Runners will need to be dismissed at 2:50 and the bus will leave at 3:00PM. The race is at Randolph County Conservation Area.
 
The vollyeball team opened their season with victories over both Red Bud and Chester last night.  The tournament continues tonight, but New Athens doesn't play until Thursday in the second game against Wesclin. 
 

Students who are working at the Boat Races September 11 and/or 12 - please start handing in your permission slips if you haven't already.  Honor Society members who would like to participate need to make sure they have picked up permission slips.  Lunch will be provided (BBQ hamburgers/hot dogs).  Give Mr. Kinzinger or Mrs. Hogg your T-shirt sizes also.

Current Student Council members need to meet in Mrs. Thoma’s room Thursday morning during homeroom. Students interested in joining Student Council this year should meet Mrs. Thoma in the cafeteria on Friday during homeroom.

Sophomore volunteers are needed for concessions at tonight's volleyball game and Thursday night's volleyball game. The sign-up sheet is with Mr. Doehring.

 
School will be dismissed Friday at 12:11 for School Improvement activities.
 
There will be no school on Monday due to the labor Day Holiday.
 
There will be an important meeting Thursday for all students planning on attending the Performing Arts Disney Trip next summer. Students may still sign up up to participate in this field trip, but they must attend this important meeting.
 
High School picture day will be this Thursday. Fall sports of golf, volleyball, and cross country will have team and individual pictures taken.  Athletes need to remember to bring their uniforms. Morning Beck students should have their pictures taken before leaving  for Beck.
