Mrs. Wolter needs to meet with all juniors in the cafeteria Thursday morning during homeroom.


    Freshmen,  Sophomores and Juniors-St, Clair County Youth Board is looking for student leaders to represent their school.  If you are interested in this, please contact Ms. Wolter.  The first meeting will be held on September 15th.  Details available in guidance office.


    Seniors-A representative from Eastern Illinois University will be here on Tuesday, September 21st during Homeroom at 8:05.  In order to meet with the representative you need be here early.  Please sign up in the guidance office the day before.  Also, Eastern will have an open house on 10-11-10 and 11-11-10.  You can register for either date on their website.


The volleyball team defeated Lebanon in three games last night.


The cross country race scheduled for Friday has been canceled. 


Sophomores and Juniors:  Don't forget to turn in all magazine orders and money to your class sponsor by Sept 23.  There will be a reward for the class that sells the most.


Mrs. Wolter needs to meet with seniors during activity period on Thursday.


The volleyball players are starting their mission this year to bring awareness to Breast Cancer. The Volley For the Cure game is Thursday, September 30th and the lady Jackets would like to get as many people involved as possible.  The Friday of that week, the Lady Jackets will be delivering  Pink Carnations - to raise money  for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  The Pink Carnations are to___LET SOMEONE KNOW YOU CARE!!!

The Lady Jacket will be selling these carnations at lunch starting today up until Thursday, September 30th!!!!!!


Zach Bickel and Zach Bogacki earned top 20 awards for finishing 17th and 18th at yesterday's Sparta Cross Country Invitational.  The next fastest runners for New Athens were Marc Dontigney, tyler Paxton, and Cody Rettinghouse.


The Hall of Fame Banquet is Friday, September 24th.  The banquet is open to anyone, but each guest who plans on eating must notify Peggy and pay $10 at the door for the meal. Doors open at 5:00 and the meal begins at 5:30PM. This year's inductees are former band director, Don Sexton, and Jim Wahlig, a 1977 graduate who excelled in baseball.
The high school is collecting Box Tops for Education.  Please start clipping these from your grocery items and bring them to school.  They can be put in the collection envelope on the second floor bulletin board or given to Mrs. Albert
FCA members and all interested persons: $15 for the fall kick off banquet is due on Thursday.  Please see Katelynn Warner, Kelsey Birkner, Micaela Smith, Katie Stitzel, or Mrs. Wolter for more information.
The after-prom committee is looking for students to work the Haunted Trail at the Waterloo Sportsman's Club on October 8th and 9th.  Students will be dressed up as Zombies for the theme of "Night of the Living Dead". Each student receives a meal and drink ticket and the students will need to be available from 6 PM until 11:30 PM. Volunteers are also needed for set up and tear down.  At least two adult supervisors are also needed.  Interested students may sign up in the high school office.

The progress reporting period end Friday.  Peggy will be running first quarter progress reports on Monday.

Parent conferences are Thursday evening, September 23rd from 3:30 PM until 7:00 PM and Friday, September 24th from 9:00 AM until noon.
