The boy's cross country team finished 6th out of 11 teams at last week's Sparta Invitational.  Cameron Reuss was the top runner followed closely by Zach Bogacki.  Molly Works was 3rd overall in the girl's race just 22 seconds behind the Busch twins from Freeburg.  The team runs today at the Nashville Invitational.  Runners and managers should be dismissed after 6th hour.
The volleyball team defeated Marissa in two games last Thursday.  The team's next match is Tuesday at home against Dupo..
Selected math students are scheduled to compete at SWIC today.  They should be dismissed at the start of activity period.
Art Club will start Tuesday after school.  Students do not have to be in an art class to join art club.
·         Seniors-If you are interested in attending Duke, Harvard, Georgetown, Penn or Stanford, there will be a student/parent information session held in Springfield, IL on Wednesday, September 23rd.  For information check in guidance office.
·         FCA will be sponsoring See you at the Pole on Wednesday, September 24th at 7:45 am.  Students will be gathered in the front of the school y the flag pole.  Doughnuts and juice will be provided.·         Seniors- Southeast Missouri State University will be here on September 30th at 3:00 p.m.   If you are interested in meeting with the representative sign up in guidance office by noon on September 30th.
·         Seniors- Tufts University would like to invite students and their parents to a admissions information session on Wednesday, September 30th at 7:00 p.m. This will be held at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel.
·         Seniors-Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship is being offered to seniors who participate in one of more sports and a leader in school or community.  You can apply on line. For information check in guidance office.  Deadline; 10-1-09.
The following students need to see Mrs. Wolter if they are still interested in taking the PSAT:  Sara Broadway, Zoey Hill, Liz Ganley, Morgan Kelley, Trisah Juenger, Steve Kreher, Brandon Paulson, Sierra Shields, and Abby Wolf.
The FCA will hold a meeting tonight in the junior high gym at 6:30 PM.  There will be refreshments, games, and fun activities. All students are invited.  See Kelsey Birkner, Katelynn Warner, Micaela Smith, Chris Harwerth, or Mrs.Wolter for more information.
A representative from McKendree University will be here on Monday, September 21st during activity period.  Students must sign up by noon today to see her.
