The Red Ribbon Assembly will be Friday at 2:10 PM in the junior high gym.
 
Zach Bickel, Zach Bogacki, and Molly Works will run Saturday at the SIUE cross country sectional meet.  The girl's race is at 10 AM and the boys run at 11 AM.
 

Using marijuana weekly or more frequently puts teens at risk for dangerous emotional problems, such as doubling a teen’s risk of depression and anxiety.

 

Tomorrow is Drugs Make You someone you're not:  Wear a costume.  (Remember no masks or face paint on the entire face and costumes must be school appropriate.).

 

 

There will be a prom committee meeting on Wed, Nov 3 during ACT period in the cafeteria

 

Detentions are scheduled for next Tuesday.

New Athens will play tonight at 5:30 PM against Madison and Lebanon plays Dupo at 6:30 PM in the Reginal voleyball tournament. Admission for app spectators is $4.  The two winners will play at 7:30 PM.  The championship game will be Saturday at 1:00 PM against Valmeyer.
 

·         Seniors-Howell Financial Services, Inc. is partnering with Sparta High School to offer a free College Financial Aid night to area students and parents on Thursday, Oct. 28th.  They will cover the financial aid process, including helpful tips for completing the FAFSA form.  Details available in the guidance office.

·         Seniors-Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation is offering scholarships to students showing leadership, commitment to community and academic achievement.  Information is available in guidance office.  Deadline: 10-31-10.

 

·         All High School Students-Nestle Very Best In Youth is offering scholarships to students based on community service, academics and demonstrate the potential to lead others.  Information available in guidance office.  Deadline: 11-1-10.

·         Seniors-Prudential Spirit of Community Scholarship is being offered to students involved in community service.  Details in the guidance office.  Deadline 11-1-10.

·         Seniors-If you are seeking a career in teaching The Golden Apple Foundation is offering scholarships. For information check in the guidance office.  Deadline: 11-1-10.

·         Seniors-A representative from SWIC will be here on November 2nd at 8:05 a.m.  If you are interested in meeting with her, please sign up in the guidance office by noon on Monday, November 1st.

 

Cross country runners not running at the sectional meet need to turnin their uniforms.
