The St. Clement Community Foundation (SCCF) is accepting applications for a $1,500 scholarship to students pursuing degrees in the health care field. The scholarship awards will be made to students from the service area of the former St. Clement Hospital and Maria Care facilities (Monroe and Randolph counties and the St. Clair county communities of Lenzburg, Marissa, and New Athens). At least one of the scholarships will be awarded to a current employee, or the spouse or dependent, of Red Bud Regional Hospital or Red Bud Regional Care Rehabilitation and Senior Living.  In addition, at least one of the scholarships will be awarded to a traditional student and at least one to a non-traditional student.

This scholarship is intended to support deserving students in their academic endeavors and the development of quality health care professionals in this region. The Foundation strongly encourages scholarship recipients, upon completion of their program of study, to seek employment in the health care field in this geographic area in keeping with the mission of this foundation to ensure the availability and enhancement of health care services to residents of our area.

Applications must be electronically submitted via the SCCF website (https://stclementcf.org under Applications) by February 26, 2020.

SCCF was formed to provide Monroe and Randolph counties and the southern St. Clair county communities of Lenzburg, Marissa and New Athens a way to ensure the availability and enhancement of health care services for future generations.  Since 2004, SCCF has awarded over $453,000 in health-related student scholarships and organization grants.  For more info, visit https://www.stclementcf.org.  For questions, you may call 618-978-1470.
