Three members of the track team had a successful day at the indoor meet at Illinois College in Jacksonville on Saturday.  Max Fowler placed 8th out of 21 in the hurdles and 26th out of 53 in the 60 meters.  He was also 12th out of 53 in the 200 meters and his time places him 5th on the all time NA record list.  Deric Maurer was 8th out of 47 in the 800 meters and 17th out of 42 in the 1600.  Emily Eeitzenhefer was 20th out of 33 in the long jump, missing 5th on the all time NA record list by less than an inch.

All juniors need to meet in the high school gym during NAIL today.

Juniors also need to meet in Mr. Gallaher's room right now.

The high school blood drive will be Wednesday March 7 from 10am-4pm in the high school gym.  Students who are 16 are eligible to donate with parental consent.  These forms are available from Mr. Kinzinger and must be returned by the end of the day on TuesdayMarch 6.  Students who sign up are invited to Mr. Kinzinger's room Wednesday morning for breakfast.  Prior to Wednesday, students are encouraged to eat foods high in iron- beans, spinach, beef, shrimp, rice, and potatoes and steer clear of caffeinated beverages like tea and soda and chocolate.  Please encourage family and friends to come and donate- the more units collected, the more scholarship money our school receives.  If you have any questions, or would like to set up an appointment, see Mr. Kinzinger.

The Village of Freeburg is hiring lifeguards for the summer season.  Applications can be picked up at the Freeburg Village Hall or at www.freeburg.com.  Applicants do not have to be lifeguard-certified to apply, but they will need to get certified if hired.  Benefits include competitive pay, flexible hours, and a free suntan.  Please contact Scott Schulz at 618-539-4875 for more information.

Yearbooks are on sale until March 16.

The PTO is in need of a warm happy body to fill the Easter Bunny costume at the Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 17th from 8-12.  They may want to pick a buddy to help guide them as they walk so they don't hop upon small children.

If anyone is available OR has questions please contact Mrs. Buescher or Mrs. Kohnen ASAP.

Students interested in participating in the Marlin Albert Outdoor Heritage Writing Contest to be eligible for a $200 cash prize can see the office, Mrs. Hogg, or Mrs. Thoma to pick up a flier.

We are looking for parents to help plan and chaperone our High School After Prom Saturday, April 7th
