The cross country teams participated in the Freeburg Invitational at Smithton on Saturday. The girls finished 8th out of 13 teams despite not having one of their top runners, Alina Lance.  Laura Kreher ran a career best 22:55 to finish one second ahead of Alayna Toedte as the top NA girl.  Jenna Alfeldt and Emma File ran good races as the #3 runner and Nikki Warnecke and Kirsten Hollansworth rounded out the top five.  The boy's team placed 7th out of 16 teams with Ethan Cockrell running his second successive sub 18 race (17:50) to earn an individual medal for placing 17th overall. Jon Alfeldt and Tyler Kimes were solid as the #2 and #3 runners with only one second separating them.  Lucas Doiron and TJ Hollansworth rounded out the scoring.  Theo Dudeck had the 6th best NA time while Tyler Lanter ran one of his best times to finish as our 8th best runner.

The teams run today at Chester.  Runners should be dismissed at the end of 7th hour to get dressed.
