Cheerleaders will be selling Carnations through January 30th during Lunch. Carnations are $2.00.

Lifetouch will be taking Spring Student Photos today.  Please be sure to dress appropriately, and if you wish to purchase photos have your order form and payment ready for the photographer.
In the afternoon the following groups will be photographed:

Pride Team at 12:45pm
Student Council at 1:00pm
Class Officer & Sponsors at 1:30pm

Seniors will meet this Thursday in activity period for a meeting in Mrs. Dinkelman's room.

Please have money and permission forms turned into Mr. Hager or Mrs. Patton for the Hidden Valley ski trip by this Friday. The cost is $17.00 for a beginner skier and $27.00 for an advanced skier, plus a chair lift. This cost includes lessons and lunch. The trip is scheduled for next Thursday, February 5th. We will be leaving from school around 7:45 a.m. and arrive back at school by 3:30 p.m.

Good luck to the freshmen boys basketball team tonight as they take on Red Bud in the Junior High gym. The game will start at 6:15.

Good luck to the Lady Jacket basketball team tonight as they take on Marissa at home. The JV game will start at 6:15.

*  Seniors-Metro Area Professional Organization is offering scholarships.  Requirement is a 2.5 or better G.P.A.  Applications require an essay.  For further information, see Mr. Lehman.  Deadline: 2-13-15.

·         Seniors-Planning to pursue a major and career related to agriculture- If so, The Farm Credit Scholarship is being offered.  There is an additional scholarship with U of I if you attend college there and are a recipient of the Farm Credit Scholarship.  Information is available in the High School office.  Deadline: 2-27-15.

·         Seniors-Planning to attend SWIC-The Southwestern Illinois College Foundation is offering over 240 scholarships.  You can apply for these on-line.  This is a great opportunity if you are attending SWIC.  Information is available in the High School Office.  Deadline: 3-1-15.

·         Seniors-The Jim Heil Career and Tech Scholarship Program will be awarding $6,000. In scholarships to seniors enrolled in, or previously enrolled in, a career and technical education class or program.  Two students will be nominated from our school.  If you are eligible and would like to be nominated for this, please see Mr. Lehman.  Deadline: 3-6-15.

·          Seniors-The Illinois Elks Children’s Care Corporation  Scholarship applications are now available for Physical or Occupational Therapy Majors, and Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants.  This is a renewable scholarship.  Information on this scholarship is available in the the High School office.  This is a local scholarship.  Deadline: 3-13-15.

·         Juniors & Seniors-SEMO representative will be here on 4-1-15 at 3:05 in room 102.  Please sign up in the High School Office if you would like to meet with SEMO.

Seniors-The Alpha Delta Kappa Illinois Scholarship is being offered to a senior entering college for the purpose of becoming a teacher.  Student must have a 3.0 or better GPA.  Additional information on this scholarship is available in the high school office.  Deadline: 3-30-15
