Good luck to the baseball and softball teams this afternoon in their games at Marissa. The varsity baseball and softball teams are to be dismissed at 3:00 today for their games at Marissa.  The bus will leave at 3:15

Good luck to the track team tonight in their meet at Dupo. Track team participants need to be dismissed today at 2:35 for their meet at Dupo.

Anyone interested in working the Grand American at the World Shooting and Recreation Complex this summer needs to see Mr. Hager for an application.

Pictures for spring sports, as well as National Honor Society, Vespa, Drama Club, Math Team, Computer Team and the Senior Class will be on Wednesday, April 20.

Josten's will be here to distribute graduation announcements and caps and gowns before school on Monday, January 25th. They would also like to meet with the Junior class officers.

The last day to order a yearbook is April 30.  The cost is $40.  See Mrs. Albert if you have any questions.

All play cast members need to meet in the band room during NAIL today.

Opening night for the spring play, Buckshot and Blossoms, is Friday,  April 22. Doors open at 6 and play begins at 7 PM.

 Library fines are being sent out and that Seniors need to have theirs paid before they graduate.

The first Friday in May is wear your butterfly tee shirt day.

The New Athens Firemen Ladies Auxiliary is conducting the search for candidates to participate in the annual Miss New Athens Queen contest.  Miss New Athens is determined by the number of tickets each girl sells.  Miss New Athens will receive $500.00 along with 10% of her sales.  Cash prizes are also given for everyone who participates.  


Applications are in the High School Office or see Regina Kurtz in the Superintendents office for more information or an application.

The Because We Can Scholarship is now available to any senior who plans to pursue a career in Health care. Applications are in the office.

Juniors-The Better Business Bureau Student of Ethnics Award Program is offering a $2500. scholarship to a Junior student showing leadership, community service and overall personal integrity and an academic history.  Information on this scholarship is available in the office.                Deadline: 5-30-16.

After School Workouts start Monday, April 4th after school.  These workouts are designed for any student that wants to build strength and endurance.  These workouts will meet from 3:30 p.m. -4:00 p.m. and will be run by Mrs. Dehler, Mrs. Nurnberger, and Mrs. Patton.  The workouts are offered to 8th graders and all High School Students.
