There are after prom forms available in the office and the after prom committee will be here today and every Tuesday to pick up signed permission slips.

The New Athens High School Volleyball Team would like to thank everyone who came out to school Saturday and participated in the 6th Annual Co-Ed. Volleyball Tournament.  Congrats to the following volleyball teams for making it to  the Championship Game.

The New Athens Lady Jackets Volleyball Team

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will be sold in the High School lobby this Friday, March 13th. If you would like to order a dozen in advance email Mrs. Patton.

Juniors & Seniors-Lindenwood-Belleville Campus representative will be here on March 11th  at 3:00 in Room 102.  If you would like to meet with this rep., please sign up in the high school office.

The sophomores interested in the Running Start program, as well as juniors interested in dual enrollment and seniors interested in attending SWIC will take the Compass test on Wednesday morning at 8:30 in the Trotter Lab.

Any drama club members who haven't paid their $5 please see Mrs. Dehler ASAP.

VESPA will begin to sell 2015 yearbooks starting this Wednesday.  The introductory price is $45.00, but starting in April the price will increase to $50.00.  Please be sure to plan accordingly and purchase your yearbook at the discounted rate.

The preferred method of payment is by check, but cash is also acceptable.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Kreher.

*  Seniors-Metro Area Professional Organization is offering scholarships.  Requirement is a 2.5 or better G.P.A.  Applications require an essay.  For further information, see Mr. Lehman.  Deadline: 2-13-15.

·         Seniors-Planning to pursue a major and career related to agriculture- If so, The Farm Credit Scholarship is being offered.  There is an additional scholarship with U of I if you attend college there and are a recipient of the Farm Credit Scholarship.  Information is available in the High School office.  Deadline: 2-27-15.

·         Seniors-Planning to attend SWIC-The Southwestern Illinois College Foundation is offering over 240 scholarships.  You can apply for these on-line.  This is a great opportunity if you are attending SWIC.  Information is available in the High School Office.  Deadline: 3-1-15.

·         Seniors-The Jim Heil Career and Tech Scholarship Program will be awarding $6,000. In scholarships to seniors enrolled in, or previously enrolled in, a career and technical education class or program.  Two students will be nominated from our school.  If you are eligible and would like to be nominated for this, please see Mr. Lehman.  Deadline: 3-6-15.

·          Seniors-The Illinois Elks Children’s Care Corporation  Scholarship applications are now available for Physical or Occupational Therapy Majors, and Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants.  This is a renewable scholarship.  Information on this scholarship is available in the the High School office.  This is a local scholarship.  Deadline: 3-13-15.

·         Juniors & Seniors-SEMO representative will be here on 4-1-15 at 3:05 in room 102.  Please sign up in the High School Office if you would like to meet with SEMO.

Seniors-The Alpha Delta Kappa Illinois Scholarship is being offered to a senior entering college for the purpose of becoming a teacher.  Student must have a 3.0 or better GPA.  Additional information on this scholarship is available in the high school office.  Deadline: 3-30-15

    Juniors & Seniors-Blackburn representative will be here on February 26th at 8:10 in Room 102.  If you would like to meet with her, please sign-up in the high school office.
