We invite our families and community members to join us for our Patriot Day Assembly as we come together to honor and remember those whose lives were forever impacted by the events of September 11, 2001.

The flyer features American flags, patriotic stars, and the New York City skyline with the Twin Towers.

The high school boys basketball team is selling their world famous discount cards again. For $15, this card provides continuous discounts to all of your favorite local restaurants from now through the end of June. The team wants to remind everyone that the cards cannot be used in combination with any other specials, coupons, gift cards, or discounts. They would also like to thank all of these restaurants for their continued support of the program. If you would like to purchase one of these cards, please reach out to any current high school boys basketball player or coach.

Reminder, Friday, September 4th, students will be dismissed at 12:11 PM for a school improvement day, with no attendance for AM/PM Pre-K.
Additionally, there will be No School on Monday, September 7th, in recognition of Labor Day.

New Athens School District #60 announcement: students will be dismissed at 12:11 PM on Friday, September 4th, for a school improvement day, with no AM/PM Pre-K attendance. There will be no school on Monday, September 7th, in recognition of Labor Day. The announcement wishes families an enjoyable weekend and includes the school logo in a classroom-themed design.
Power has been restored. Please be advised that school dismissal will proceed at the regular time today. If you need to make any changes to your student's dismissal plans, please contact the appropriate offices.

We are writing to inform you that New Athens CUSD #60 is currently without power due to a town-wide outage. Please be assured that all students have been served lunch.

We are currently in communication with Ameren to determine an estimated restoration time before making further decisions regarding the school day. Please note that our phone lines are also currently down. We will provide additional updates as soon as more information becomes available.

NACUSD #60 is requiring online registration for ALL returning students for the upcoming school year. Please log in to Teacherease via the app or website and complete the online registration. This registration requires a digital signing of all forms that are needed including the Handbook & Chromebook Agreement. There will be no paper copies sent home on the first day this year. Please update all contact information and emergency contacts. All fees can be found at the end of the online registration form. Free & reduced lunch applications can be completed online using a computer, as it is not available on the app or mobile browser yet. Paper copies are also available in the office. You can choose to pay online or at Open House on Tuesday, August 11 between 6:00 - 7:30 pm.

Parade practice for the JH and HS marching band commences tonight at 7-8:30 pm in the band room. Here are the practice schedules for the rest of the week:
- Tuesday, July 14: 7-8:30 pm (evening)
- Wednesday, July 15: 8-9:30 am (morning)
- Thursday, July 16: 7-8:30 pm (evening)
- Friday, July 17: 8-9:30 am (morning)
- Saturday, July 18: Parade at 5 pm. Students will line up behind Village Hall at 4:30 pm.
