Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we enter the time of year when weather can become unpredictable, we want to ensure our families are prepared in the event that road conditions become unsafe. Should we need to implement an E-Learning Day, the following plan and expectations will be used to support student learning:
E-Learning Expectations for Students:
Learning targets and assignments will be posted by 9:00 a.m. on the E-Learning day. All tasks will be meaningfully connected to the curriculum, take no more than 20–25 minutes per class, and will be reviewed by teachers to ensure learning expectations are met.
Teachers will be available and responsive during normal work hours on the emergency day.
Students will have two school days to complete their learning tasks.
Attendance will be determined based on the successful completion and demonstration of the assigned learning experience.
Every class will have a clear and reasonable plan posted for students.
Assignments will reflect authentic learning and be directly connected to curriculum goals.
Students must provide evidence of learning to receive attendance credit.
We appreciate your support as we work to keep students safe while maintaining meaningful learning opportunities. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
